The nature house is located between the Beuseberg and the Holterberg, just outside the town limits of Holten. We will begin renting out the house for the first time in April 2026. The house is fully equipped, and the beds will be made upon your arrival. The house has a sunroom, which is a wonderful place to relax, especially in the spring and fall. Behind the house is a garden with a swimming pond, a terrace, and, beyond that, a converted barn with a restroom and a small bar. From the patio, you can enjoy watching all the insects, birds, and hedgehogs that come to the swimming pond to drink, bathe, and look for food. And if you want to swim or float on an air mattress yourself, no problem—you’re welcome to do so. Children need a swimming certificate because of the two ponds in the garden.
Nature and surroundings
The backyard that comes with the vacation home is about 33 meters deep. Behind this is a section of garden about 44 meters deep with three large flower beds in the middle and a small pond; here, you’re welcome to wander around or relax in one of the chairs, though you may run into the owners here. Further back is another garden about 54 meters deep where we (the hosts) have our vegetable garden, fruit trees, and food forest. You’re more than welcome to visit while we’re working there. There’s plenty to do in Holten and the surrounding area, such as hiking, biking, a round of mini-golf, a petting zoo, an outdoor swimming pool, an escape tour through Holten, various museums, a charming village center with nice outdoor cafes and shops, or rent an electric balance bike or a Toek Toek.

We have never had such a nice house and this is also the first time we want to come back next year. Because we have not yet been able to do all the nice things in and around the house and also for the environment we would like to come back.

En als kers op de taart een zwemvijver waar we enorm van hebben genoten. Tenslotte kun je echt optimaal van je vrije tijd genieten doordat je bij vertrek het beddengoed niet hoeft af te halen, de vaat gewoon in de vaatwasser mag achterlaten en niks hoeft schoon te maken. Qua rust nog goed om te noemen dat je in de tuin zachtjes de snelweg hoort, maar dat was niet storend.
