This nature house is part of a 100-year-old farmhouse. The beautifully bright front house with old beamed ceiling accommodates four people. The house is perfect for a family with children due to the wonderful children's bunk bed in the second bedroom. There is parking at the cottage. The nature house has an excellent basic kitchen and a bathroom with bath/shower combination, sink and toilet. The farm is located in a yard of 4500 m2, of which you can use the piece of about 250m2 adjacent to the front house. In the summer you can pick delicious berries and strawberries here, there is a pear tree and a walnut. In the remaining yard a food forest is being constructed, which is definitely worth a look. The yard is buzzing with insects in the summer because since we moved in, we have been working hard to support biodiversity.
Nature and surroundings
This nature house is located in the quiet hamlet. near the village Nijeveen. On the corner of the road you will find a nice farm store with delicious farm ice cream and various craft products. In Nijeveen you will find a beautiful mill and all amenities for your daily shopping. The farm is located in the heart of breathtaking natural areas, between the quiet lakes and reed beds of the Wieden Weerribben and the open, vast Holtingerveld with the picturesque Havelte and the impressive dolmens. The area is a perfect mix of marshy landscapes and the authentic Drenthe moorland. The cities of Meppel and Steenwijk are about 7 kilometers away so even for some culture or more extensive shopping you do not have to travel far. The accommodation is thus a wonderfully quiet base for the discovery of a beautiful, richly varied area where hikers and cyclists can certainly enjoy themselves.
