Nature house in Lanaken

I'm quite satisfied with my stay. It met my expectations. The owner responds quickly if you have any questions.

Ik ben wel tevreden met het verblijf.Het voldeed aan mijn verwachtingen.De eigenaar antwoordt snel indien je een vraag hebt.

The vacation home was sufficiently clean and in good condition upon arrival, with all the necessary amenities as described on the website. The fridge and TV worked well; it was a bit chilly (which is actually a plus in the summer, of course) and dark, but that’s just how it is in the woods.The bed has a good mattress. There are plenty of places to sit and relax, with a terrace both in front and in back; there was also a dartboard, and you can park your car right next to the cottage. It was incredibly quiet during my stay, which I really enjoyed—everyone seems to respect the silence.
There are plenty of hiking trails nearby; you can walk right into the woods.
I even saw some squirrels—there are little baskets hanging from the trees, too, which they come to feed on.

Het vakantiehuisje was voldoende proper en in orde bij aankomst met de nodige voorzieningen zoals beschreven op de website.De frigo en tv werkt goed,het was er wel wat fris(in de zomer is dat net een troef uiteraard) en donker,maar dat is nu eenmaal zo in een bos.Het bed heeft een goede matras.Het heeft veel zit en relaxmogelijkheden zowel vooraan als achteraan een terras,er was een dartsbord ook,de auto kan je dicht naast het huisje zetten.Het was er enorm stil tijdens mijn verblijf,daar heb ik wel van genoten,ieder lijkt de stilte te respecteren.
Er zijn veel wandelmogelijkheden in de buurt,je wandelt zo het bos in.
Ook eekhoorntjes gezien,er hangen mandjes aan de bomen ook,waar ze op af komen.

The cottage itself was a huge disappointment. When we arrived, there was an ashtray full of cigarette butts on the little table next to the entrance!!
There was a mop in the corner with the filthy mop head still attached. Inside, it was very grimy and smelled musty.
The master bedroom with the double bed had a filthy fitted sheet with a huge dark stain right in the middle.
And what was truly unacceptable was that there was a camera hanging on the covered patio that tracked our movements—in short, your stay is simply being filmed while you’re sitting there relaxing. We felt this was such an invasion of our privacy… We unplugged it.

In short, the nature house was such a huge disappointment!! We definitely won’t be coming back here.
The owner didn’t send a message after our stay to check if we enjoyed it or if there was room for improvement—I think that’s a missed opportunity too… a kind of follow-up, so to speak… If he does reach out, I’ll definitely express my dissatisfaction!

Het huisje zelf viel heel erg tegen. Bij aankomst stond op het tafeltje naast de ingang een asbak met peuken!!
Een dweil in de hoek met de smerige dweil er nog aan. Binnen was het heel smoezelig en rook het onfris.
De grote slaapkamer met 2 persoonsbed had een smerig hoeslaken, met in het midden een hele grote donkere vlek.
En wat echt niet door de beugel kon is dat er op het terras (met overkapping) een camera hing die meedraaide met bewegingen, kortom je verblijf wordt gewoon gefilmd terwijl je daar zit te ontspannen. Wij vonden dit zo'n inbreuk op onze privacy... We hebben de stekker eruit gehaald.

Kortom het natuurhuisje viel ons zo zwaar tegen!! We komen hier zeker ook niet weer terug.
De eigenaar heeft na ons verblijf geen bericht gestuurd om te checken of we hebben genoten of dat er nog ruimte was voor verbetering, vind ik ook een gemiste kans... soort nazorg zeg maar...Mocht hij dit alsnog doen dan zal ik zeker mijn onvrede uiten!

Beautiful nature, peaceful surroundings—as you’d expect, I suppose—but we were a bit disappointed by the lack of tranquility. There was a group of young people at the campground with tents who were still playing music and such on Fridays after 10 p.m. And the park itself seemed run-down, with a lot of overdue maintenance and few people staying in the cottages.

Mooie natuur, rustige omgeving normaal denk ik , rust viel ons wat tegen. Er stond een groep jeugd op de camping met tenten, die vrijdag's na 22 uur nog muziek draaiden ed. En het park op zich kwam verpauperd over, veel achterstallig onderhoud en weinig bezetting van de huisjes..

Springy laminate flooring, no coat hooks, poor lighting on the porch.
Great air conditioning to keep it comfortable inside, very nice and spacious porch.

Verende laminaat vloer, geen kapstokhaken, slechte verlichting op de veranda.
Fijne airco om het aangenaam te krijgen binnen, heel fijn en grote veranda.
