Estate Getafix is a natural beauty estate and is dedicated to health and nature. There is attention to the whole ecosystem of animals, plants, people as well as the materials used in the (re)construction of the old farm. The Estate has group rooms, several apartments and also three hyperdomes/igloos in the woods of the Estate, about 250 meters walk from the main building. Sleeping in a hypedome is above all an experience. From a lovely bed you sleep in the middle of nature and can see birds, hares and even foxes and badgers s scurrying around you. In the hypedome itself there is only electricity and no water or other facilities. You can use a nice shower, toilets and a modern bulphaup kitchen in the main building and there is also coffee and tea there. Bedding and linen are included. In the summer of 2025, another eco-toilet will be installed in the forest, next to the hyperdome.
Nature and surroundings
Estate Getafix is located on the border of Drenthe and Overijssel, on the edge of the beautiful Reest valley. A beautiful and varied nature reserve with forest, heath, lakes and little tourism. There are many hiking and cycling trails. For shopping you have to drive 6.5 km, to Balkbrug or De Wijk and the closest city is Meppel. At Estate Getafix there is no public transport. We do have a charging station for electric charging. If desired, I can pick you up from Meppel train station.
