Nature and surroundings
This detached nature house (with an approx. 2600 m2 garden!) is located next to our nursery of shrubs and peonies, in the heart of the beautiful area of Westerwolde. Here you can still enjoy peace, space, friendly people and the cleanest air in the Netherlands! The area is ideal for nature lovers: vast forests, cozy villages, a meandering river and plenty of cycling and walking routes. A relaxing, silent ride on the e-chopper through the beautiful surroundings is highly recommended. A highlight is the stream valley of the small river Ruiten Aa, even more beautiful than the Ardennes according to a visitor! A few km away you will also find the largest moorland area of Groningen, 600 hectares of forest and the historic fortified town of Bourtange. Whether you like action or just want to relax: it's all possible here. In the cottage are folders full of tips for outings for young and old(er). Westerwolde is not for nothing nominated as the most beautiful place in the Netherlands - come and discover it for yourself!

I highly recommend this house! The owner gave us a warm welcome, sent a helpful email explaining the house and the surrounding area, and was very helpful whenever needed. Great place!
Dit huis is echt een aanrader! Warm welkom geheten door de eigenaresse, fijne mail met uitleg over het huis en de omgeving en zeer behulpzaam waar nodig. Topplek!
What an AMAZING house! Fantastic, secluded location, plenty of space all around, and several places to sit. The interior is also perfect—practical and tastefully decorated. Comfortable double beds and a generous supply of tableware are provided. The large game room, with plenty of games and a pool table, also makes this place ideal for a family weekend with all generations.

A wonderfully peaceful location. The garden was so quiet. The garden was amazing—so much space. The kids were over the moon.
Heerlijk rustig gelegen. Wat een enorme stilte in de tuin. De tuin was geweldig, wat een ruimte. De kinderen konden hun geluk niet op.
