Large vacation apartment located on a former farm, suitable for up to 10 people. Located in the beautiful Middelburg Polder, which has a rich historical value. The farm is quietly situated, but the A12 motorway can be reached in 10 minutes, making it an excellent base for trips to nature reserves, the sea or if you still want to seek the hustle and bustle of the big Dutch cities. In Alphen aan den Rijn we have the Archeon which is great fun to visit with children. Here they get acquainted with ancient times with all kinds of fun activities. But also in our area there is a lot of nature to enjoy. In terms of furnishing we are sustainable by buying a lot of interior and decoration through the thrift store and marketplace. Exceptions are our beds, these are of good quality and purchased new. A good night's sleep is very important to us. On the roof of this apartment there are 74 solar panels on one side.
Nature and surroundings
Near us are the Reeuwijks lakes, perfect for recreation when the weather is nice. But you can also walk and bike beautifully between the lakes with an oasis of tranquility. There are numerous bicycle routes in the Green Heart. In Boskoop there are VVV tours by boat. Here you sail through the Boskoop ditches and become acquainted with the fields of our Boskoop growers. The Lansing is located between Boskoop and Reeuwijk. This is a beautifully preserved nature reserve. It is also wonderful to take a beautiful walk around our Middelburg Polder in the evening after dinner. This polder is a polder full of different species of birds including the Black-tailed Godwit, which fortunately has been returning to our polder in recent years, but also even increasing in number. The piece of land behind our polder is even a protected bird area. The municipality and province and our farmers work together to preserve this area for protected birds.
