The farm room has been opened in the spring of 2025. This accommodation is suitable for 2 persons and max. 1 pet is allowed.The Weerribben is literally your front yard, on your own terrace you can even hear the 'humming' of the Bittern.The apartment is modern furnished with private bathroom and toilet. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, combination microwave/oven, induction stove, Nespresso machine and kettle (no kitchen linen or bath towels are provided). The bedroom has a made-up Boxspring bed (160 x 210 cm; use electrically adjustable features at extra cost) and a closet. Both the living room and the bedroom have air conditioning. On the farm is a Farm Shop with beef from our own cows, dairy, bread, cheese, eggs, ice cream and more fun and goodies! Comfortable and atmospheric enjoyment in the Weerribben will definitely succeed!
Nature and surroundings
National Park the Weerribben-Wieden lies directly in front of our farmyard. With beautiful cycling, hiking and boating routes, it is fantastic to enjoy the largest low moorland swamp of northwestern Europe (over 10,000 hectares) wetlands. A labyrinth of ponds, lakes, ditches, mysterious-looking marsh forests, extensive reed beds and flowery hay meadows. In De Weerribben lies the village of Kalenberg and the hamlet of Hoogeweg. Blokzijl, Giethoorn and the village of Holland are the well-known attractions of the nature reserve.The village of Ossenzijl is on the border of Friesland, nearby is nature reserve the Rottige Meente, which is also well worth experiencing.In Ossenzijl are several cafes/restaurants to enjoy sitting on the terrace by the water.Blokzijl, When the weather is a little less nice, Pantropica is a must. A tropical butterfly garden with the ultimate indoor jungle experience!
