A wonderfully comfortable Belltent for 2 people, equipped with a double bed (140x200) topped with 2 separate single-person comforters. Included: full kitchen inventory, garden chairs and a picnic table, a hammock, a cooler with ice packs, a private campfire for cooking over an open flame (including use of a Dutch oven/kettle), cooking facilities, and dishwashing facilities. On the property, there’s a Coffee Caravan where, for a fee via an honesty system (i.e., payment via QR code), you can make your own coffee, bake frozen sourdough rolls for breakfast, grab a fresh egg from our chickens and fry it, and borrow a book from our mini library. Chilled beverages (Wilder Land), tea (Wilder Land), and local alcoholic drinks are also available (again, for a fee) to enjoy during a lovely evening by the campfire. The accommodations (2 bell tents) are located on a property that also features 14 campsites. There is plenty of privacy and space.

Hygge Veen is located just outside the village of Tiendeveen, and from our green oasis, you can easily bike or walk right into the Mantingerveld nature reserve. The surrounding area features charming villages such as Ruinen, Westerbork, Dalen, and Orvelte, and the Dwingelderveld National Park is also easily accessible from here. In addition to being a (tiny) campground, Hygge Veen is also a food forest in the making. A beautiful spot with plenty of privacy. With all the gorgeous trees on the campground, you’ll feel like you’re in Scandinavia. The tent was comfortable; cooking with a Dutch oven was a highlight for us. So were the local drinks and the clean restrooms just a stone’s throw away. The owners were very friendly, attentive, and warm.
