Nature house in Ossenzijl

For cyclists it is perfect because a few hundred meters away you can cycle straight into the Weerribben and you can ride many kilometers and all sides with the many cycling junction routes. Small, quiet places in the area and for some more action you are so in Blokzijl. There is a super nice bike route along the canal right through the Weerribben to Blokzijl! Steenwijk is also not far away. Hiking is also possible but you have to search a bit. In Ossenzijl there is a rental company where you can rent a (Canadian) canoe, electric boat or sloop.

Voor fietsers is het perfect want een paar honderd meter verder fiets je zo de Weerribben in en kan je vele kilometers rijden en alle kanten op met de vele fietsknooppuntroutes. Kleine, rustige plaatsen in de omgeving en voor wat meer reuring ben je zo in Blokzijl. Er loopt een superleuke fietsroute langs het kanaal dwars door de Weerribben naar Blokzijl! Ook Steenwijk is niet ver weg. Wandelen kan ook maar moet je wel even zoeken. In Ossenzijl zit een verhuurbedrijf waar je een (Canadese) kano, elektrisch bootje of sloep kan huren.

Lovely, modern cottage, built in 2025. Small but nice house with two terraces and because this is the corner, you also have windows on two sides that can be opened, including in the bedroom. In the house you have everything you need and really nice is the air conditioning in the living room and in the bedroom! The farmer's wife and farmer are extremely friendly and helpful when you need them but also leave you alone when you don't. Ideal is the covered bike shed on the side where you can also recharge. There is a small campsite next to the house with a sanitary building but you are not bothered by that. The view is beautiful, the only downside is the road in front of it. It is quite busy so you do not fully experience the tranquility of nature. But the sheep and birds you see and hear make up for that. Highly recommended!

Heerlijk, modern vakantiehuisje, in 2025 gebouwd. Kleine maar fijne woning met twee terrassen en omdat je dit de hoek is, heb je ook aan twee zijden ramen die open kunnen, ook in de slaapkamer. In de woning heb je alles wat nodig hebt en helemaal lekker is de airconditioning in woon- en in de slaapkamer! De boerin en de boer zijn uiterst vriendelijk en behulpzaam als je ze nodig hebt maar laten je ook lekker met rust wanneer dat niet zo is. Ideaal is het overdekte fietsenhok aan de zijkant waar je tevens kan opladen. Er is een kleine camping naast de woning met een sanitairgebouw maar daar heb je geen hinder van. Het uitzicht is prachtig, enige minpuntje is de weg die er voor langs loopt. Die is best druk waardoor je niet helemaal de rust van de natuur ervaart. Maar de schapen en de vogels die je ziet en hoort maken dat wel goed. Aanrader!

Beautiful cottage

Mooi huisje

The cottage was very quiet with a beautiful view.

Het huisje lag heel rustig met een prachtig uitzicht.

We felt very comfortable in the cozy apartment. Many delicious dishes (eggs, bread, juice ...) can be purchased in the farm store. Right outside the door are various nature areas where you can go hiking or cycling. In bad weather Pantropica is definitely recommended ...

Wir haben uns in der gemütlichen Wohnung sehr wohl gefühlt.
Viele leckere Speisen (Eier, Brot, Saft...) kann man im Hofladen erwerben.
Direkt vor der Tür sind verschiedene Naturgebiete wo man prima wandern oder radfahren kann.
Bei schlechtem Wetter ist Pantropica auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen...

Beautiful apartment, comfortably furnished, very nice landlord, beautiful surroundings, many cycling and hiking trails in the immediate vicinity.
