For writers, poets, storytellers and/or creative centipedes; we have created an ideal place to stay! In peace and quiet you can get the inspiration you need in our tastefully renovated mobile homes. Of course also for peace seekers and nature lovers. The pipo is 2.5x6m and furnished with natural and 2ekans materials. The large bed has a firm new mattress and wool comforters. The car is in a beautiful spot on the property, on one side you have the picking garden and on the other side you look out over the farmlands. She is fully equipped, but has no TV/WiFi, which is a conscious choice. Incentives from outside are nil. In the log cabin opposite the car is a kitchen with sitting area, shower and toilet. Both spaces are exclusive to the guest during the stay. The grounds of ±50m² are separated from the garden by a hedge and provide a lot of privacy. The pipo has a small but fine wood stove, so it is pleasantly warm there even during colder days!
Nature and surroundings
Opposite the location is an old cobblestone path that takes you to the Sleenerzand, this is a beautiful forest with several fens where you can have a nice walk and often you will not meet anyone. You can walk to a dolmen a few km away from the accommodation. The Pieterpad also crosses this area. If you want to go cycling, you get on from our property and within fifteen minutes you are in the villages Zweeloo or Schoonoord, where there are supermarkets. In the village near the care farm you can have a drink/lunch, check the opening hours in advance. In our street is the Merry Donkey, here you can walk with donkeys, nice to combine with a high-tea, which the hostess prepares herself. The whole thing is on the grounds of a former elementary school, which we now live in. Since '20 is a picking garden realized on the old lawn, here you can walk around in the growing season and enjoy and possibly pick a bouquet yourself! Wezup is located between Emmen and Westerbork, both worth a visit!
