Unique ecological and inclusive vacation home in the Flemish Ardennes of Belgium a stone's throw from Ghent, Bruges, Oudenaarde and Ronse. This vacation home for up to 14 people has a beautiful view of the Zwalm Valley with forest and meadows as its closest neighbors. In the garden you can relax in the hammock while the buzzard and skylark call in the background. The sauna overlooks the forest. Outside you can shower hot and cold. The house has a spacious terrace, a playhouse with slide and sandpit, bicycles, badminton, Kubb game, in short, everything for families, groups of friends and children. The house is protected heritage but modern and timeless in its decor. The living room with fireplace overlooks a large meadow. The kitchen is fully equipped with all modern appliances. Upstairs on the mezzanine there is another sitting area with a view of the surroundings. There are 3 spacious rooms for 4 persons each and 3 bathrooms. On the mezzanine you will find a comfortable sofa bed. Charging station for electric cars.
Nature and surroundings
The cottage has a large 10 acre garden located in the middle of a forest overlooking the valley of the Zwalm. The house is a stone's throw from the hiking trail along the Zwalm Brook, with its ancient mills. The house is at a crossroads of hiking and biking trails in the Flemish Ardennes. In the house are several (also wheelchair accessible) hiking and cycling routes. 20 minutes from the house you will find beautiful forests such as the Forest 't Ename, the Brakelbos, the Livierenbos, the Muziekbos and nature reserve the Burreken. Ghent, Bruges and Brussels are easily accessible by train or car.
