The nature house is located on the outskirts of the park; you can walk straight into the large forest through the garden. There is a separate bedroom (with a 1.80-meter-wide bed), a separate bathroom, a toilet, and a very large living room with an open kitchen. There is a TV, free Internet, and air conditioning. There is one sofa bed (or fold-out bed) in the living room that sleeps one person. The kitchen is well-equipped with Smeg appliances, an induction cooktop, dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer, and oven. Dogs are more than welcome; a large bed and toys are provided for them. Guests may always use the infrared sauna, bathtub, and steam shower when booking. The nature house features a hybrid hot tub, which can be booked as an add-on per evening.

Nature and surroundings

The nature house is located in a nature park within a quiet zone; after 10 p.m., the chalet park is completely quiet. The chalet park is not a day-use recreation area. It is situated next to the Hoge Kempen National Park, allowing you to take beautiful walks through unspoiled nature right from the property. The Hoge Kempen National Park features approximately 220 km of hiking trails. The resort features a tavern where dogs are more than welcome. A 6-km swim lake for dogs is located along one of the marked hiking trails. There are several supermarkets nearby. The nature house is located 7 km from Maastricht, 11 km from Oud-Rekem, and 15 km from Maasmechelen Village...the combination of peace and quiet, wellness, enjoyment, and even shopping is more than abundant here. It’s definitely worth booking.

Everything was fine, except that the shower wasn't great for us—the step was way too high.

A lovely little house, nice and clean, with seating areas in the front and back. Wonderfully peaceful, and it has a sauna and steam room, which I didn't use.

    Nature, peace & environment: 5 /5

A lovely spot on the edge of the little park—in the evening, the deer stand right behind the fence! Very dog-friendly; the treats and toys were all laid out for them. The restaurant in the park is great, too—dogs are welcome. The owner was very friendly.
