NEW: Quiet vacation apartment in the front house of farmhouse De Vortman on Fortmond, gem. Olst/Wijhe, in a nature reserve in the floodplains of the IJssel. You overlook the IJssel and the Veluwe. The cozy apartment has a living room with central heating and a door to a private garden area. The natural garden has a swing set overlooking a beautiful evening sun, a private terrace with table and 4 chairs and a garden stove and fire basket. Free bag of firewood. In addition, two bedrooms, 1 with sink, a bathroom with toilet and shower, a kitchen equipped with washing machine, Senseo coffee machine, kettle, stove and mini grill. In the hall is a condenser dryer, microwave and fridge-freezer. Everything includes bed linen, towels and kitchen towels. Details: no wifi, but many DVDs and digitenne live TV. And a game closet with spare guest bed. In the hall room for charging bicycles. To be booked for a minimum of 2 nights.
Nature and surroundings
Near Fortmond there are many hiking and biking opportunities. The farm is located in Overijssel, but the Veluwe in Gelderland is within biking distance. The foot/bicycle ferry to Veessen (Kozakkenveer) is around the corner and sails from April 1 to October 1. The information center in Den Nul of Staatsbosbeheer and a watchtower in the Duursche Waarden are within walking distance. So is the Fortmonderbos on which the garden overlooks. Near the information center is a bird-watching hut overlooking the Duursche Waarden. Four sea eagles have recently been spotted here! Upon arrival we are happy to tell you more about the beautiful surroundings. The info center in Den Nul is a wonderful location for lunch, information about the wider area, exhibition space, museum. Open from 10 am to 5 pm. 7 days a week.
