This beautiful villa is located in the countryside, in a small village called Real, in Castelo de Paiva, in the interior of central Portugal, about 55 minutes from the international airport of Porto. The villa has been completely rebuilt and combines the charm of the old with the comforts of the modern. We have kept the old walls of slate and granite, combined with all the amenities of a thermally well insulated and equipped house.Upstairs you will find a suite with a walk-in closet and private bathroom, a bedroom, a comfortably furnished living room with a spacious dining area, a fully equipped kitchen with a balcony and direct access to the outdoors, and a hall with a guest toilet. Downstairs is a fantastic living room with a huge balcony with stunning views of the countryside, a suite with a private bathroom and additional space to relax with a double sofa bed and kitchenette.
Nature and surroundings
The house is completely open to the outside through large windows that give access to balconies and a large terrace where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the region. The surrounding area consists of terraced gardens, typical of this mountainous region, and a beautiful swimming pool with sun loungers and grassy areas that invite you to relax and sunbathe. The area around the pool is not fenced, so if you are traveling with small children, you will need to supervise them yourself in the outdoor areas and pool. (The outdoor areas are shared with other guests who may be staying in the adjacent house.) The house is accessed by car via a narrow country road. At the front of the house is an extension where you can stop to unload your luggage, and at the end of the road is a spacious parking area where you can park your car during your stay. An ideal place to relax, with several river beaches, riverside walks and old slate villages to visit.
