This cozy vacation cabin has the name; The "Pioneer Cabin". It is a Swedish traditionally built stuga with thick wooden beams and logs and is over 225 years old. The cabin has had a total renovation in 2019 and is decorated with rustic materials and in a western style atmosphere. In the front there is an orchard. Away from traffic and here is still real silence to enjoy. The cabin with a space of 35m² for a cozy vacation destination and can accommodate 2 people. There is a separate bedroom with a sitting area, a prepared and comfortable double bed, equipped with quality mattresses and a topper. The cozy living room smells of the scents of wood, spacious open to the roof deck and a wood stove. There is a sitting area, dining area, wood stove and cooking facilities. Mini fridge, freezer and coffee/tea corner are there in the hall, and you will receive a key to your own beautiful new bathroom. This is located 25 meters from the cabin.
Nature and surroundings
The Pioneer Cabin is on 3 acres of land surrounded by pine forests and low mountains. There are horses, chickens, dog Jack and cat Mitshi. There are all kinds of fun trails and seating areas for guests. There is a fantastic grill hut with campfire area. Just 3 km from one of Sweden's most special rivers: the Indalsälven. This river with a huge drop has created a so-called canyon-like valley. Be surprised by a rugged and landscape with low mountains, unique views, rock formations, waterfalls and evergreen pine forests. The special river landscape of the Ragunda Valley has the status as Geopark IndalSälven. Many interesting places are marked as Geological treasures and landscape formations from previous ice ages. Owner Monique Vermeer works as a (Geo) nature guide and organizes various outdoor activities such as; moose safaris, guided hikes, horseback riding tours and more. The cabin is for rent from May to mid-October.
