Nature house in Ommen

Overall, my experience was good; the cottage was clean and nicely decorated (the bathroom, in particular, is very beautiful). For four people, the downstairs space is a bit limited but also cozy, with a round table and four chairs where you can enjoy a leisurely meal and play the board games provided. If the weather is nice, I’d definitely head outside to explore the area; There’s beautiful nature right around the cottage, but also further afield around Ommen—which is about six kilometers from the park—including forests, the Overijsselse Vecht, hiking and biking trails, places to eat and drink, and more. There’s something for everyone.

In het algemeen was mijn ervaring goed, het huisje was schoon, leuk ingericht (met name de badkamer is erg mooi) Voor 4 personen is de ruimte beneden wat beperk maar ook knus, ronde tafel met 4 stoelen waaraan je uitgebreid kunt eten en de aanwezige (bord)pelletjes kunt spelen. Als het weer gunstig is zou ik vooral naar buiten gaan om de omgeving te ontdekken, er is direct prachtige natuur te vinden rondom het huisje maar ook verderop rondom Ommen wat een ruime kilometer of zes van het park vandaan is, bossen, de Overijsselse vecht, wandel/fietsroutes, eet en drink gelegenheden, enz. Voor ieder wat wils.

The cottage has a very straightforward layout; upon entering, you’re immediately in the hallway where the toilet and bathroom are located. The living room/kitchen is cozily furnished and fits in well with the surroundings. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms separated by a landing with a wall of closets that offers plenty of space to store clothes, towels, and other items. The garden surrounding the cottage has several seating areas and is surrounded by shrubs and trees. The cottage is located in a vacation park, so you do have neighbors around you, but the atmosphere is very peaceful and friendly.

Het huisje is erg overzichtelijk, bij binnenkomst sta je direct in de gang waar het toilet en de badkamer zich bevinden. de woonkamer/keuken is knus ingericht, past goed bij de omgeving. Boven zijn er 2 slaapkamers met daartussen een overloop met kastenwand waar veel ruimte in is om kleding, handdoeken, enz. op te bergen. De tuin rondom het huisje heeft verschillende zitplaatsen en is omringd met struiken en bomen. Het huisje staat op een vakantiepark, daardoor heb je wel buren om je heen maar de sfeer is heel rustig en gemoedelijk.

We had a wonderful time at the cottage. For us (mother and son), it was just right. It’s a cozy, well-decorated cottage. The garden is lovely, and there’s always a spot with either shade or sun.

We hebben het heerlijk gehad in het huisje. Voor ons (moeder en zoon) was het precies goed. Het is een gezellig ingericht huisje. De tuin is fijn met altijd wel een plek met schaduw/zon.
