In the rural home "La Cuesta" - between Bruges and Ghent - there is certainly room for 4. Outside there are two cozy terraces. You have a view of the tall trees everywhere. It is wonderful to rest here in the forest. There is internet and television. Also all necessary electrical appliances are available such as a dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, freezer.... The beds are covered and bath linen is provided. Definitely suitable for longer stays. The old cat "Oscar" comes by almost every day. Her pellets are at the ready. Cyclists are also welcome! Dirk and Lucile welcome you in "La Cuesta" in the forest.
Nature and surroundings
The house is located in the Drongengoed in the province of East Flanders, in Ursel, a borough of Aalter. The forest has many hiking and cycling trails, ideal for day trips. The Drongengoedhoeve is definitely worth a visit. It tells a bit of history, also about the "cuesta". A short distance away is a small airfield where recreational flying is practiced on weekends. There are rest areas, there is a play forest, a gnome trail, a museum, brasserie... A paradise for young and old. There is a very good chance of encountering deer. Here and there, new heathland is planted. Come and feel and taste 'The Meetjesland'. A region worth discovering: where cows still graze, the pollard willows still swallow the water, the frogs still croak, owls still hunt... Nearby are beautiful Bruges and Ghent.
