If you are looking for 'country cosiness', tranquility, comfort & nature, then you have come to the right place in our vacation home 'Aan 't Laantje'. Our 2 to 4 person vacation home is located in beautiful Wittem, a hamlet in the South Limburg municipality of Gulpen-Wittem. Our Slothoeve dated from 1700 contains beautiful old elements and is part of a national monument. The Slothoeve was built in parts along and along (oldest part, including gatehouse, from 1520, youngest part 1900). The name of the farmstead says it all: this farmstead used to be part of Kasteel/Slot Wittem, currently known as 'Chateau Wittem'. However, the farmstead and the Castle/Slot used to be split (with a wall) and since then from separate owners.
Nature and surroundings
The vacation house is situated on the Slothoeve (part of) and on a lane with beautiful trees (footpath, which belongs to the Slothoeve) therefore the name 'Aan 't Laantje'. Our vacation house has been completely renovated with attention for the old monumental elements. Therefore our vacation house 'Aan 't Laantje' is suitable for real nature lovers who like to take a nice walk, enjoy cycling and/or relax in the garden of the vacation house. The garden borders the meadow where in spring/summer and first part of autumn the cows with calves (breed: blond d'aquitaine) of the Slothoeve run.
