Nature house in Harzgerode, OT Mägdesprung

A very peaceful location right in the heart of nature, on the edge of the forest. You can lace up your hiking boots right outside the front door and set off on a journey of discovery through the woods. Another highlight is the Selketalbahn, which is only about one kilometer from the vacation home and runs with beautiful steam locomotives.

Sehr ruhige Lage direkt in der Natur am Waldesrand. Man kann direkt vor der Haustür die Wanderschuhe schnüren und sich auf Entdeckungstour durch die Wälder machen. Ein Highlight ist auch die Selketalbahn die nur ca. einen Kilometer vom Ferienhaus entfernt zu erreichen ist und mit schönen Dampflokomotiven unterwegs ist.

A real hidden gem if you’re looking for peace and quiet, located in the beautiful Selke Valley. The town and the buildings are steeped in history and have been lovingly restored. The vacation rental has rustic furnishings and, in my opinion, fits in very well with the building’s charm without sacrificing amenities like good Wi-Fi. I’d especially like to take this opportunity to thank the host once again for her hospitality and the pleasant conversations.

Ein wirklicher Geheimtipp wenn man die Ruhe sucht, gelegen im schönen Selketal. Der Ort und die Gebäude sind reich an Geschichte und wurden liebevoll restauriert. Die Ferienwohnung ist rustikal eingerichtet und passt meines Erachtens sehr gut zum Charme des Gebäudes ohne das man auf Annehmlichkeiten wie gutes W-Lan verzichten muss. Besonders möchte ich der Gastgeberin auf diesem Wege noch einmal für die Gastfreundlichkeit und die netten Gespräche danken.

We came to Selkethal to go hiking, and there are plenty of opportunities to do that here. There are also a couple of charming towns, Quedlinburg and Stolberg. The nature house is beautifully decorated and was very clean. The apartment is on the first floor, so if you want to sit outside, you have to go down the stairs to get there. The apartment does have large windows with a view of the valley. There are 5 sleeping spots: 3 in a bunk bed and 2 on the sofa bed in the living room. You should keep that in mind if you’re renting the cottage as a couple. The landlady lives in an apartment in the main house and is very friendly and helpful.

Wij kwamen naar het Selkethal om te wandelen en dat kan hier vol op. Ook zijn er een paar leuke stadjes Quedlinburg en Stolberg. Het natuurhuisje is mooi ingericht en was heel schoon. Het appartement ligt op de 1e verdieping, dus als je buiten wilt zitten moet je de trap af naar buiten. Het appartement heeft wel grote ramen met uitzicht op het dal. Er zijn 5 slaapplekken, 3 in een stapelbed en 2 op de bedbank in de woonkamer. Daar moet je rekening mee houden als je als stel het huisje huurt. De verhuursters woont in een appartement in het grote huis en is heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

The apartment in the nature house in Magdesprung is surrounded by nature. It’s very peaceful, quiet, and dark there in the evening. From the house, you can walk right into the Selkethal forests. You can take beautiful hikes starting from the cottage. In Magdesprung, there are buses and a small train that runs a few times a day to other hiking trails.

Het appartement in het natuurhuis in Magdesprung ligt midden in de natuur. Het is er heel rustig, stil en donker in de avond. Vanuit het huis loop je de bossen in van het Selkethal. Je kunt prachtige wandelingen maken vanuit het huisje. In Magdesprung gaan bussen en een paar keer per dag een treintje naar andere wandelingen.
