We were warmly welcomed by Els and her sweet dogs and had a wonderful midweek stay at De Vrekel. Despite the high temperatures that week, we were never too hot in or around the cottage thanks to the natural air conditioning provided by the trees. The cottage is cozy and well-furnished. We slept soundly and were able to relax in the lovely cottage and the beautiful wooded garden. We visited the Elaisa wellness center (De Vrekel was an ideal base for this: a 20-minute drive) and went on a lovely bike ride and hike. We also visited the nearby barefoot trail. Maastricht is just 13 kilometers away, and other cities are nearby as well. Our interactions with the hosts were very pleasant. They’re always up for a chat, but if you don’t feel like it, we’re sure they’ll respect that. Thanks for everything.

De accommodatie is gezellig en goed ingericht. We hebben lekker geslapen en kunnen ontspannen in het fijne huisje en de prachtige bostuin. We zijn naar wellnesscentrum Elaisa geweest (een ideale uitvalsbasis was de Vrekel: 20 minuten rijden) en hebben een mooie fietstocht en wandeltocht gemaakt. Ook zijn we bij het nabijgelegen blotevoetenpad geweest. Maastricht is op slechts 13 kilometer en ook andere steden zijn in de buurt. Het contact met de gastheer en gastvrouw was erg prettig.
