Here you will stay in a unique location: right on the edge of the vast National Park Dwingelderveld, where heath, forests and silence come together. The cottage is stylishly furnished and fully equipped. Start your day with a hot shower in the luxurious walk-in shower, prepare a cozy breakfast in the open kitchen, and enjoy the peace and quiet on your own terrace, surrounded by trees and whistling birds. In the evening, crawl together on the couch or enjoy the clear starry sky on the veranda. Whether you come for romance, rest or adventure, this place offers it all. Hiking, biking, bird watching or just not having to do anything - this is the place where you can get your breath back.
Nature and surroundings
The area around Dwingeloo is a paradise for nature lovers. The National Park Dwingelderveld, Europe's largest continuous wet heathland area, is literally in your backyard. Purple heather, interspersed with pools in which the sky reflects. Cyclists and hikers can enjoy countless routes that take you through forests, past peat lakes and along sandy paths. Within walking distance from the cottage you can take a look at the astronomical radio telescope and then take a walk or bicycle route through vast heathlands, dense forests and along glistening fens, with the chance of encountering flocks of sheep along the way. And did you know that Dwingeloo lies between two beautiful national nature parks? Namely, the Dwingelerderveld and the Drents Friese Wold. About a kilometer away is Dwingeloo with all facilities such as a supermarket, department store, gift stores and restaurants.
