Welcome to this special unique cozy cottage (Dec 2024), located on the National Park Dwingelderveld and near the National Park Drents-Friese Wold. Cottage VENUS offers the ideal setting for a wonderful stay in nature, where you can escape from the daily hustle and bustle and completely relax.The architect-designed cottage (architect Nynke-Rixt Jukema), spread over three floors, is decorated with care and taste and offers a unique spatial experience due to its playful design.There are three compact bedrooms: 2x2 pers 160x200 and bunk bed 80x200, 2 bathrooms, 2 toilets so there is sufficient privacy and comfort for (young) families or vital rest seekers. "Landing together" by the warm wood stove is of course also possible! The cottage is sleek & comfortably equipped: underfloor heating everywhere,, covered bicycle charging point, Jotul wood stove, Smart TV: fast streaming, parking in front of the door. Peace, comfort and experience of creativity will be experienced!
Nature and surroundings
The cottage is playfully placed on one of the two hills and invites you to enjoy the nature around you, both inside and outside. From the living room on the top floor, you not only have a view of forest (spot deer) but also over the nature reserve Terhorsterzand/Dwingelderveld. Here are moors, forests, fens and lakes where plenty of walking, cycling and swimming can be enjoyed. Enjoy the sun on the terrace in the morning and in the evening under the porch. In the quiet nights here you can still really experience the darkness and discover the stars. A shared simple heated swimming pool (open in June, July and August, free/camping) is 300 meters walking distance. What we especially appreciated was the suitability of the cottage for small children. The stair gate and the washing machine are really top in that respect. There is a nice playground around the corner and the area itself is quiet enough that your child can play nicely. The owners are super nice to contact. We will definitely come back. One mini thing why it is not a ten: for our taste the bed was a little hard.
Het is een geweldig huisje. Wij zijn nog nooit ergens geweest waar alles zo compleet en goed op orde is. Over echt alles is nagedacht. Wat wij vooral waardeerden was de geschiktheid van het huisje voor kleine kinderen. Het traphekje en de wasmachine zijn echt top in dat opzicht. Er is een fijne speeltuin om de hoek en het terrein zelf is rustig genoeg dat je kind lekker kan spelen. De eigenaren zijn super fijn in contact. Wij komen zeker terug. Een mini ding waarom het geen tien is: naar onze smaak was het bed een beetje hard.
