This fully equipped safari tent is located on a quiet spot just outside Orvelte between chestnut and walnut trees.The tent has 2 sleeping cabins, one with a double bed (140x200), one with 2 single beds.Furthermore, a kitchenette with kettle, coffee maker, cool box and induction hob, a spacious dining table and plenty of storage space for luggage.Outside under the awning is a lovely lounge sofa for mornings in the sun and long summer evenings. Two hanging chairs in the walnut tree and a large picnic table provide plenty of sun and shade options. In the main building you will find the sanitary facilities (2 showers and 2 toilets), an extensive kitchen including an oven and a canteen. On the site there are also 3 mobile homes, a veranda with fire pit (when there is no fire ban).
Nature and surroundings
This place is great for lounging by the tent, and making various trips in the area. In the area, forest, heathland and agricultural plots alternate. There are many hiking and cycling opportunities. There are 2 swimming lakes nearby, with sandy beach and kiosk. The towns of Assen, Emmen and Hoogeveen are all about 20 minutes away by car. The village of Orvelte has a number of historic buildings as well as nice stores and various restaurants.
