This vacation home is located on a private plot of 4,000 m2 where you can find complete tranquility! On the outskirts of Hoogerheide in the middle of the nature reserve the Brabantse wal lies this attractive plot. The plot is characterized by the weir with a height difference of 10 meters. The plot alternates a large lawn with forest. Due to the shady area it is always pleasant in high summer. With a little luck, you can see the squirrels on the feeding platform from the living room. The nature house was renovated in 2020 and completely energy-neutral. The house is gasless, and the electricity is generated with solar panels and 100% green electricity. The cottage gives a spacious feel with its high ceilings. The many windows give a good view of the green surroundings. The bedroom has an electric box spring with remote control. There is also: Air conditioning, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer.
Nature and surroundings
Hoogerheide - where Brabant kisses Zeeland. Hoogerheide has all the conveniences for a village, several supermarkets, direct bus connections to Bergen op Zoom train station, and burgundy restaurants as you would expect in Brabant. Hoogerheide is located on the Brabantse wal, which is the border area between Zeeland and Brabant. The nature reserve is characterized by wooded areas yet it is 20 minutes from the Oosterschelde, a nice place for avid divers, with a small beach. Just under 30 minutes away is the fishing village of Yerseke where mussels are still traditionally farmed. Bergen op Zoom, the marquise town characterized by its many restaurants, asparagus and anchovies, is within cycling distance. If the cycling and hiking routes of the Brabantse Wal are explored then lies adjacent to the Kalmthoutse Heide. This diverse and dynamic nature reserve lies on both sides of the Belgian-Dutch border and consists of heathland, fens, forests and land dunes.
