Nature house in Norg

Tucked away in the forests of Drenthe lies a detached boutique nature house on a private 1,600 m² forest plot. Here, you’ll experience complete peace, privacy, and nature. No traffic or crowds, just the sound of birds, rustling trees, and an impressive starry sky. The charmingly decorated cottage (45 m²) is compact but fully equipped with all modern conveniences. Natural materials, a cozy pellet stove, and large windows bring the outdoors inside. On the spacious, covered porch (20 m²), you can enjoy the outdoors all year round Outside, you’ll find a hot tub, a wood-fired Finnish sauna, an outdoor shower (wellness package available for an additional fee), and an outdoor kitchen. Perfect for couples, solo retreats, or small families (1 or 2 children are welcome upon request). There’s a sleeper sofa, and there’s also plenty of space to pitch a small tent. Dogs are welcome, too, and can roam freely in the fenced-in garden. Here, you’ll live in tune with the rhythm of the forest. You’ll come to relax, slow down, and recharge.

The nature house is located in the heart of one of Drenthe’s most beautiful nature reserves, on the edge of the Drentsche Aa National Park. From the cottage, you can walk or bike straight into the woods, past centuries-old oaks, vast heathlands, tranquil ponds, and picturesque village greens. Here, the seasons set the pace: morning mist among the trees, blooming heather in late summer, colorful forests in the fall, and an impressive starry sky as soon as night falls. Roe deer, woodpeckers, and birds of prey are regularly spotted here. A short distance away lies the charming village of Norg, with its pleasant village green, good restaurants, outdoor cafes, and local specialty shops. The UNESCO De Hondsrug Geopark, Assen, and Groningen are also easily accessible. Whether you’re coming to hike, bike, or simply to do absolutely nothing: here, you’ll naturally slow down, live in the great outdoors, and rediscover just how special silence, space, and nature can be.
