Nature house in Heijen

We weren't aware that we were supposed to take the bedding and towels and leave them by the door.
Doing the dishes was also a bit of a surprise.

To prevent this, it could be stated more clearly both at the time of booking and in the instruction/information booklet in the cottage.

The owner only pointed this out to us at checkout. It wasn’t a problem at all, and it was a minor inconvenience, but we felt that the way this was communicated put a slight damper on our otherwise wonderful and relaxing stay.

Response from the rental owner:

Before arrival, we send an information booklet via email about the stay, tips, and our house rules (including leaving dishes clean, washed, and put away upon departure, and removing bedding and towels). This booklet is also on the table upon arrival. Incidentally, we consider it quite normal for guests to wash dishes, pots, and cutlery; leaving dirty dishes behind is not acceptable to the host.

Het was ons onbekend dat we het beddengoed en handdoeken moesten afhalen en bij de deur moesten leggen.
Ook de afwas doen was enigszins een verassing.

Om dit te voorkomen zou dit duidelijker aangegeven kunnen worden bij zowel het boeken als in de instructie/info boekje in het huisje.

We werden hierop pas gewezen door de eigenaar bij het uitchecken. Op zich helemaal geen probleem en een kleine moeite al ervaarde wij dat de manier waarop dit kenbaar werd gemaakt als een klein smetje op het heerlijke en ontspannende verblijf.

Reactie vanuit de verhuurder:

Wij sturen voor aankomst per mail een informatieboekje over het verblijf, tips en ook hierin onze huisregels (o.a. bij vertrek vaat schoon, afgewassen en opgeborgen achterlaten, beddengoed, handdoeken afhalen). Dit boekje ligt ook op tafel bij aankomst. Overigens achten wij het afwassen van servies, pannen en bestek door huurders vrij normaal; vuile vaat achterlaten voor verhuurder niet.
