LogeTent de Luxe Waard is surrounded by greenery & silence and is intended for women who, for whatever reason, want to unwind in a rural, calm environment. The sturdy, spacious de Waard tent stands in the sunny, atmospheric front yard of 800m2 containing several seating areas & 'n large dining table with parasol. The luxurious private shower & toilet are located in the farmhouse, close to the tent. In the tent there are 2 single beds, made up with sheep's wool underblankets, comforters & bioflannel linen. Breakfast is incl. Free coffee & tea. Self-cooking is not necessary here (and not possible) - start the day with a nice breakfast and finish with optional dinner with dessert/liqueur/kombucha €25,-(p.p.) I cook with love, organic & from my own harvest. Use of private sauna and pool (extra charge) possible. Rent is from min. 2 nights and the 2nd person stays for half price! Feel welcome to come and relax and enjoy this well-cared-for camping experience for 1 or 2 woman(s).
Nature and surroundings
On the 7 km long pear orchard in Ruinerwold lies our large residential farm hidden among greenery. You can wander for hours through the beautiful rural surroundings where time has stood still and where you are still greeted by the villagers. Villages such as Havelte, Dwingeloo and Ruinen are within cycling distance. In Ruinerwold itself there is a supermarket, an ancient café, museum farm De Karstenhoeve and some smaller stores. If you want more extensive shopping, the cozy town of Meppel is a good option and the old Hanseatic city of Zwolle is easily reached by train in 15 minutes. At 500m from the farm is a good bus service to Meppel and several villages. In Meppel itself is a train station. For hikers there are several hiking trails from the lodge to walk along beautiful, monumental farms. A little further away is National Park Dwingelderlveld.
