From the caravan you have a view of the meadow and from the caravan you walk straight into the forest (Utrechtse heuvelrug). Simple sleeping place with a double bed (also to make into a single, you can slide the bed in). Table with two chairs, wood stove, refrigerator and some freezer space available. In the middle of the campsite you will find the sanitary facilities. The campsite has five showers with hot water and five toilets. You also have the possibility to do your dishes at the sanitary facilities. There is also a washing machine and dryer available, which you can use for free. Should you not want to walk to the sanitary building at night, you can possibly use the po-toilet in the bedroom.The nearest bus stop is the Hoogstraat in Leersum. From here it is another 2 km to the campsite.
Nature and surroundings
The area is excellent for the avid hiker or cyclist. Many routes in a vast forest area. The campsite is located on a junction bicycle route. In the vicinity are several interesting historical sites and estates to visit. You can also in the Utrecht Ridge beautiful mountain biking. Amerongen is highly regarded as one of the most beautiful routes in the Netherlands. The route is a varied with many singletracks, wide long climbs, bowl turns and fun challenging descents.
