From this accommodation for two you have a beautiful view of the country and an impressive sunset. An atmospheric location. The cottage is made with care, creativity and ecological and reused materials. With French doors so inside and outside merge. The double bed is at height, with stairs. Large window above the bed to look at the stars. During the day you can also slide the bed forward, then you can also look at the skies from the couch. The wood stove and floor heating create a pleasant temperature. You can make coffee and tea inside, while eating and writing at a table with stools. You can cook in the covered outdoor kitchen, equipped with gas burners and a refrigerator. There is a fire pit with an axe. In fact, that's all you need in the basics.
Nature and surroundings
You will stay on a vast nature campsite in Drenthe, which is part of the UNESCO Geopark the Hondsrug. Blikveld is on the edge of the forest, with behind the bushes, also on the field edge, the twin house OnderZeil and the other side on a number of Yurts. The overall forest is extensive, further on there is also room for campers. There is a Pingo Lake with some free-to-use boats. In season, breakfast and delicious meals are available. A sauna bar is available for rent year round. This place not only offers a great place to unwind, but also makes an excellent base. In the vicinity of dolmens, forests such as Gasselterveld and the beautiful blue lake of 't Nije Hemelriek. Moreover, you can spot the flock of sheep on the moors, go mountain biking, take on the challenge in the nearby climbing park and make beautiful canoe trips. City Assen is within cycling distance, Groningen and Emmen with half an hour by car.
