Nature house in Appelscha

Although the weather was stormy during my stay, the manager had provided a patio heater. And although there’s no heating, electricity, or running water, the manager has provided a jerry can of water, there’s plenty of tea lights in stock, and everything else you need to make coffee, lunch, or dinner is surprisingly well-stocked.

Hoewel het weer bij mijn verblijf stormachtig was, had de beheerder een terraskachel beschikbaar gesteld. En hoewel verwarming, stroom en stromend water afwezig zijn, heeft de beheerder een jerrycan water klaargezet, zijn er genoeg waxinelichtjes op voorraad is het voor de rest verrassend compleet voor het maken van koffie, lunch of avondeten.

It’s a great place to go completely offline. Peaceful. Quiet. Dark. In the evening, you sit by candlelight reading a book while the rain drips on the roof. The cows in the pasture look at you curiously when you step out onto the porch in the morning.

Om even helemaal offline te gaan is het een geweldige plek. Rustig. Stil. Donker. 's Avonds zit je met kaarslicht een boekje te lezen terwijl het regen op het dak druppelt. De koeien in de wei kijken nieuwsgierig naar je als je 's ochtends op de veranda verschijnt.

Everything you need was there. Just a chance to get back to yourself—no stress from the internet, TV, or anything else.
But you have to make that happen yourself—so put your phone away, too. What a relief.

Alles was er wat je nodig hebt. Even terug naar je zelf geen stress van internet tv of wat dan ook
Maar dat moet je zelf ook doen leg de telefoon dan ook weg. Wat een rust.

Perfect—you really have a place where you can find total peace and privacy.
The cottage is wonderful in the morning, with a view of the meadow where the dew rises as you sway in the hammock.
chairs while birds sing, and in the evening, with a crackling fire in the cast-iron pot, enjoy a delicious stew while gazing at the twinkling stars in the truly dark sky.
I had a wonderful time.

Perfect je hebt echt een plek waar je totale rust en privacy
Hebt het huisje is heerlijk ‘s morgens uitzicht op de weide waar de dauw omhoog stijgt al schommelend in de hang
Stoelen met fluitende vogels en avonds met knapperde vuurtje in de gietijzeren pan heerlijk stoofpotje genieten van de fonkelende sterren in de echte donkere lucht.
Ik heb genoten.

The cottage has everything you need. From your bed, you have a view of the meadows with cows, and in the evening you can see the most beautiful sunsets. You do need to be able to walk well, though, since it’s a bit of a walk to get there. I had a pleasant interaction with the owner. Highly recommended!

Het huisje heeft alles wat je nodig hebt. Vanuit je bed heb je uitzicht over de weides met koeien en s avonds zie je de prachtigste zonsondergangen. Wel moet je goed ter been zijn, je moet een stukje lopen om er te kunnen komen. Ik had prettig contact met de eigenares. Een aanrader!

A very pleasant spot where you can truly unwind. A great base for hikes in the beautiful surrounding area.

Heel prettig plekje waar je echt helemaal tot jezelf kan komen. Een goede uitvalsbasis voor wandelingen in de prachtige omgeving.
