Nature house in Bräcke

This spacious and comfortable nature house is nestled in the heart of Jämtland’s unspoiled wilderness in Sweden. The lodge is located in the quiet village of Öratjärndalen, which has only ten houses, just 400 meters from a small lake. We run the lodge ourselves and built it in an authentic Scandinavian style using local logs. The lodge features a spacious living area with a sitting area, wood stove, TV, and dining table. The open kitchen is fully equipped with a kitchen island, oven, dishwasher, freezer, and coffee maker. There are 4 bedrooms: one on the ground floor and three upstairs, each with two single beds (90x200 cm) that can also be made up as a double bed. The beds are freshly made upon arrival. There are also 2 spacious bathrooms with showers and double sinks. Also included: underfloor heating, a spacious entryway, two separate restrooms, a garden with a patio, a wood-fired sauna and hot tub (upon request), a fire pit, and Wi-Fi. Pets allowed upon request (additional fee).

No matter the season, you can enjoy peace, space, and unspoiled nature here. From the lodge, there are endless hiking opportunities through the vast forests; we’re happy to help you get started with our self-marked trails. In the surrounding area, you’ll find numerous rivers and lakes where you can fish or simply enjoy the silence. Two canoes are available for a relaxing trip on a nearby river (supplement). We also offer various activities to actively experience nature, such as guided hikes, canoeing and nature excursions, and wellness experiences with a sauna or hot tub. In winter, husky tours and snowmobile excursions are among the options, led by local partners (upon request and reservation, December–March). The lodge is located 15 minutes from Bräcke, which has a supermarket, pharmacy, train station, and several dining options.
