The apartments are situated in a beautiful and especially quiet area in the mountains. A fine nature house, right on the hiking trails of the area to enjoy hiking and enjoy nature in peace. The cottage is located on our land, but has enough privacy. We live here with our children aged 3, 9 and 14 years, enthusiastic, friendly dogs ( we will keep them inside our garden at the request of guests if desired) , cat and chickens. We moved to Portugal because we felt the need for simplicity, peace, nature and freedom. We like to share our place with our guests! In the cottage you will find everything you need for a relaxing stay. The sleeping area is separate from the living area and everything is on the ground floor. The cottage has an air conditioner that heats you and of course cools you when the summer nights are hot. In addition, a baby crib is available upon request. There are also board games, books, pencils etc.
Nature and surroundings
The flora and fauna is very diverse in the area. There are many birds of prey, the kingfisher and the black stork were seen. From the cottage you can make beautiful walks along authentic villages via well-marked routes. Throughout the year Avô is a well-known place for hikers. In spring to autumn, the beach of Avô is an ideal place to visit for a nice cool down, supping / canoeing. Besides some chapels and church from the 18th century, in the village are also remains of a castle ( Castelo Avô) where the construction dates back to the year 12th century. The cottage is located near Coja a cozy and lively town with good restaurants, a doctor, dentist and ATM are also nearby. 15 minutes away are the large supermarkets located (Tabua, Oliveira do Hospital, Arganil) The area is known for its beautiful river beaches, several of which are a short distance from our country.
