Inside (approx. 46 m²), it’s warm and cozy, with a comfortable sofa and a large table where you can eat, read the newspaper, or work from home while enjoying the view of the large wooded garden (over 1,000 m²). Adjacent to the bedroom is the bathroom, featuring a (rain) shower, sink, and toilet. Outside, you’ll find plenty of birds and squirrels—and with a little luck, a deer or a fox in the distance. Books, games, children’s toys, and, of course, a well-equipped kitchen (dishwasher, bread maker, oven, refrigerator without a freezer, and a full set of cooking and baking utensils). For our short stay, it was exactly what we were looking for: a lovely, peaceful spot near Soestdijk Palace (where we went to a concert). Pleasant and smooth communication with the host, a beautiful cottage, tastefully decorated and fully equipped. The view and the wooded garden provide a sense of nature here, even though there’s a road nearby… which is exactly what makes this place such a great base.
The only area for improvement is a bit more space for clothes.
