The historic house, which was renovated to a high standard and lovingly furnished at the end of 2024, has a spacious eat-in kitchen with dining and living room area on the second floor and a view of the canal and the river Treene. In the living room area with Smart TV there is a very comfortable sofa bed (140 x 200 cm with topper) where two people can sleep. The kitchen is well equipped with dishwasher, stove, oven, and all common kitchen tools. Off the hallway is the bathroom with shower The quiet bedroom with 180 x 200 cm double bed with balcony, which faces the inner courtyard, can be completely darkened and on the balcony you can enjoy your first coffee, breakfast, meals or sundowners On the second floor, which can be reached via a spiral staircase, there is another bedroom under the roof with a 1.80 x 200 cm bed. There is another Smart TV in this bedroom.
Nature and surroundings
My Little Canal House on the canal is located right next to the large canal house in the Dutch town of Friedrichstadt, also affectionately known as "Little Amsterdam". It is generously designed for 4 people in a maisonette apartment on two levels. It is located on the inland harbor, from where you can paddle out onto the canals or the Treene with two of the house's own canoes and two SUPs directly from the jetty in front of the door. Restaurants, cafés and quaint stores are just around the corner on the market square. Friedrichstadt is a little dream for dog owners, as the town is very leafy and lies on the water, so you can take your dogs for a walk along the canals or on the banks of the Treene - water rats can jump straight into the river for a swim. Friedrichstadt is also known as a town of tolerance, which is represented by religious diversity - especially in this day and age, the people of Friedrichstadt are proud of this. Live and let live.
