Our cozy back house has a fresh, contemporary look. On the ground floor, there is a living room, kitchen, and bathroom with a toilet. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms, one of which has a double bed. All beds are equipped with M-line mattresses. It’s located in our little farmhouse where we live with our sweet Labrador, Saar. We have three donkeys and chickens on the property. The guesthouse has its own entrance, a sitting area with a TV, and a fully equipped kitchen with an induction cooktop, combination microwave, and washing machine. The downstairs area is heated by underfloor heating, and the upstairs by a radiator. The two bedrooms are on the upper floor. The bathroom and toilet are on the ground floor. You can choose to bring your own bed linens and towels or rent them here. Bed linen rental (fitted sheet, duvet cover, and pillowcases): €7.50 per person. Towel package: €2.50 per person. Please let us know in advance which option you prefer. Tourist tax: €2.00 per person.
Nature and surroundings
There is a garden with several seating areas, including one with a fire pit and a view of the farmland. You can also cook outdoors at the fire pit. From the kitchen, there’s a view of the orchard where the donkeys are kept. From our property, you can take a walk (short or long) through the fields and forests of the Drents Landschap. There are also countless beautiful bike routes through the landscapes of Drenthe and Overijssel. This includes the border between Overijssel and Drenthe, where the Reest River winds its way through the countryside and flows into the Zwarte Water near Meppel. Furthermore, a visit to the “Dwingelder Veld” National Park is definitely worth it to enjoy the tranquility and explore the sheepfold. We had a lovely, authentic little house, and everything was on one level. It had all the amenities—absolutely TOP-NOTCH.
The hosts were very friendly and welcoming.
We did a lot of biking and really enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. The locals are also warm and friendly.
