Nature house in Schmallenberg-Oberkirchen

- No cozy area with a couch or something like that.
- The dining area is small for 10 people
- Lots of bugs in the summer and no mosquito nets or anything like that
- The kids were nervous about going to the bathroom at night because you have to go outside to get there. Each room can be locked separately.

- veel insecten in de zomer en geen horen of iets dergelijks
- de kinderen vonden het spannend om in de nacht naar de wc te gaan omdat je via buiten naar de toilet moet. Elke kamer kan afzonderlijk afgesloten worden.

The cottage looked fresh and well-maintained. Perfect for adults or families with teenagers. The cottage is in a secluded location, and in the evenings we spent a lot of time outside under the balcony, where we could chat freely, play some music, or play games. There’s a large BBQ and a bar table. No one to bother you. The cottage has 5 lockable rooms with sinks, 2 separate restrooms (for women and men), and 1 shower. There’s a nice breakfast area with a beautiful view. The breakfast area is spacious enough for 8 people; 9 would just fit, but 10 would be a bit cramped. The cottage isn’t suitable for small children or people with limited mobility, as there are many stairs and steps, and there’s no fence separating it from the road. Minor suggestions for improvement:
- Install window screens on the upper windows to keep out mosquitoes
- Provide instructions on waste separation. The system in the Netherlands is slightly different from that in Germany.
- Remove the curb from the BBQ area to the patio, because it’s too dark at night. I tripped over it several times.
- Fix the broken outdoor lights

Het huisje zag er fris en netjes verzorgd uit. Perfect voor volwassenen of gezinnen met tieners. Het huisje ligt vrij en s avonds zaten we veel buiten onder het balkon en konden we vrij kletsen, muziekje draaien of spellen spelen. Grote BBQ aanwezig en statafel. Niemand die last van je heeft. Het huisje heeft 5 afsluitbare kamers met wasbak. 2 losse toiletten (voor vrouwen en mannen) en 1 douche. Een leuke ontbijtruimte met prachtig uitzicht. De ontbijtruimte is ruim voor 8 personen, 9 past net, maar 10 is wel wat krap. Het huisje is niet geschikt voor kleine kinderen of mensen die slecht ter been zijn, want er zijn veel trappen en opstapjes en er is geen hek naar de weg. Kleine verbeterpuntjes:
- horren in de bovenramen om muggen te kunnen weren
- uitleg over de scheiding van afval. In NL is het net wat anders dan in Duitsland.
- stoeprandje van BBQ plek naar terras weghalen, want s nachts is het te donker. Ik ben er meerdere keren gestruikeld.
- kapotte lampjes buiten repareren

Awesome—beautiful hiking trails, great mountain bike trails, and fun activities in the area! Everything is within a 1-hour drive, but most are within 30 minutes.

Geweldig, mooie wandelpaden, mooie mountainbikepaden en leuke activiteiten in de omgeving! Alles binnen 1 uur rijden, maar de meeste binnen 30 minuten.
