This authentic, detached cottage is located on a mound on the Meuse River and offers beautiful views of the river, surrounding nature and castle ruins from every room. Located on Landgoed Geijsteren, the house offers peace and quiet and space, ideal for a family or a small group. Enjoy the natural environment with hiking and cycling routes, including the famous Pieterpad, and discover the most beautiful golf course in North Limburg. On the ground floor you will find the hall, toilet and a spacious kitchen with dining table, 5-burner stove, dishwasher, microwave and cup coffee maker. The old-fashioned cozy living room has a second dining table and a fireplace with free firewood. Through the living room you enter the terrace with firepit, BBQ and spectacular views. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms and a small bathroom with shower, sink, toilet and underfloor heating. The 2 large bedrooms have a sink. The beds are new and comfortable, and good reading lights are also provided. 4 bicycles are available for loan.
Nature and surroundings
Among other things, the estate offers 300 acres of forest with beautiful streams, a forest chapel and the Rosmolen, where grain is ground every Friday. Next to it are the Boshuizerbergen with a unique juniper forest. On the other side of the Maas is national park the Maasduinen. Nearby there is much to do: the zoo and war museum in Overloon, the castle gardens in Arcen or the thermal spa. Furthermore: toverland in Sevenum and several museums such as Van Bommel van Dam in Venlo (modern art) or the Limburgs Museum. Nearby you can eat well in Eethoeve De Boogaard, the restaurant of the Golf Course or have a drink in the village pub 't Trefpunt. You can also easily cross the border to, for example, the cute center of Kevelaer, Germany, for "gutbürgerliche Küche." For regional products, visit nearby farms. The nearest bakery and supermarket are in Wanssum, and Venray is only 8.5 km away for more stores and amenities. To outlet Roermond is 50 km.
