Ours is beautifully and thoughtfully built, with the space efficiently and cleverly laid out so that sleeping, relaxing, and cooking come together harmoniously. The bed can be used as a lounge area with extra pillows, the table easily transforms from very small to quite large, and the kitchen—complete with a refrigerator and range hood—is spacious enough to prepare a delicious, elaborate meal. The large windows offer a wide view of the surroundings, even in rainy weather.
Nature and surroundings
The estate itself is a paradise for flora and fauna. There’s a vegetable garden, a woodland garden, and many other interesting habitats. We have a small dog, cats, chickens, and sheep. The property borders other forests, and you might even spot a deer or a fox. A few kilometers to the south is the Maasduinen National Park, and a little further to the north is the beautiful St. Jansberg and the Zevendal—perfect for a wonderful day of hiking. Unfortunately, swimming in the water next to us isn’t allowed. The water is reserved exclusively for the campground’s guests. Fortunately, the Maas and the Niers are nearby and open to everyone :)
