This brand new cottage is one of those cozy houses where you feel safe. In the right part with a large sliding glass door you have a nice sitting area where you can relax after an active day. The left part is a studio, equipped with a small complete kitchen together with the sleeping area, separated by a room divider. There are two single beds with a box spring, which can be transformed into a comfortable double bed with a luxurious topper. It is also possible to combine the double bed with twice a single comforter. The kitchen is equipped with fridge, induction hob, coffee maker and kettle. The new bathroom has a shower, a toilet and a sink. To make it complete, there is an air conditioner for the hottest summer days. You have access to a private terrace facing south with a luxury lounge set and parasol. There is possibility to rent quality (electric) bikes from our location.
Nature and surroundings
The cottage is located on a quiet dead-end authentic dyke and is in the middle of meadows where sheep graze in the pasture. There are plenty of meadow birds, wild geese, swallows and birds of prey. From our nature house you can walk, cycle and enjoy the beautiful polder landscape with its many farms and the vast nature with picturesque villages such as Valkoog, Kolhorn, Barsingerhorn. The nature house is by bike about 11 km from the vast dunes, the beach and the sea with beautiful resorts such as Schoorl, Petten, Sint Maartenszee and Callantsoog. The bike ride there is already an experience in itself. By car it is about 15 km. Furthermore, our guesthouse is very close to the cozy center of market town Schagen. Schagen is known for its lively square around the church, the many restaurants, the indoor shopping center, the cozy markets and various events. The city has a vibrant cultural center and offers various activities throughout the year.
