Welcome to Straelen, the “City of Flowers,” on the beautiful Lower Rhine! A vacation rental—a temporary home away from home—shouldn’t just be any place, but an oasis of comfort, just like your own home. This idea guided us throughout our project. Or to put it another way: We designed the new vacation rental exactly as we ourselves would want one to be if we were vacationers. The building was once an old pigsty; from 1995 to 1997, it was converted into a country house. There is room for 5 people in the 2 bedrooms, plus 2 people on a sleeper sofa in the living room. The single box-spring beds can also be arranged as double beds. Before your arrival, we’d appreciate it if you could let us know how you’d like your beds set up.
Nature and surroundings
The vacation rental is located on the eastern outskirts of Straelen, in a quiet setting surrounded by fields, meadows, and farms. The apartment, which was newly built and renovated in 2023/2024, combines traditional architecture with modern, high-quality amenities. In July 2024, we received a 4-star rating from the German Tourism Association. Whether you’re a contractor looking for lodging, traveling on business, or wanting to enjoy your vacation as a group or family, you’ll (hopefully) find everything you need for a wonderful stay here.

Free cancellation within 7 days of your booking confirmation, provided the booking request was made more than 28 days before the start date. For bookings starting within 28 days, free cancellation applies within 24 hours. If you cancel within the specified period, you are entitled to a full refund of the booking amount.
After that, you will receive a partial refund of the trip cost and a 100% refund of the deposit:
• Up to 42 days before arrival: 70% refund
• 42–28 days before arrival: 40% refund
• 28 days through the day of arrival: 10% refund
• On the day of arrival or later: no refund
- Out of respect for nature: silence between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM.
- Minimum age of main booker: 21 years.
- Smoking is not allowed in this nature house.
- No fireworks are allowed at this Nature House.
- No parties or events are allowed.
- This nature house is not suitable for groups of young people, students and sports teams.
- Waste separation is mandatory in this nature house.
