This detached vacation home near the Rothaarsteig trail was renovated in 2014 and can accommodate up to six people. The combination of modern furnishings and the charm of a cozy hunting lodge makes it a perfect place to relax. There are two floors spread over approx. 100 m²: on the upper floor there are two bedrooms (each with a 1.40 m bed), a bathroom with shower/WC, a fully equipped kitchen with access to the terrace and a living room with dining table, fireplace and sitting area. In the basement there is a bedroom with a double bed, a bathroom with shower/WC and a laundry room. Towels and bed linen are provided. Dogs are welcome! The crane water in the Waldhaus is not drinking water. The way to the Waldhaus leads partly over an unpaved road (forest path). However, it is usually easy to get there by car. Nature and surroundings
If you are looking for peace and quiet, hiking, mountain biking, skiing and/or simply want to unwind, you have come to the right place! The vacation home is located directly on the Rothaarsteig in the southern Sauerland, adjacent to the climatic health resort of Oberhundem in the municipality of Kirchhundem. Oberhundem is located right in the middle of the 160 km long Rothaarsteig trail. The spa town has a swimming pool and a spa park with mini-golf course. There are also numerous activities on offer, such as the Panorama Park, a wildlife park with many native animal species, such as otters, wild boar, lynx, wolves and deer. A petting zoo, a toboggan run and many other attractions await you. Schmallenberg's historic old town is also worth a visit. After long hikes, you can stop off at various inns. Supermarkets are approx. 10 minutes away by car. The perfect surroundings for a varied and active vacation!
