Our forest cottage is on a small vacation park. The nice thing about our place is that it is on the edge of the park overlooking the forest. This gives you the conveniences of the park but you experience peace and quiet at the cottage. Nature, a trendy decor and comfort are the characteristics of our cottage. In and around our cottage are several places to sit outside. So everyone can find their favorite spot in the garden to entertain themselves. Opposite our cottage is directly the forest with several hiking trails, enough for hours of hiking fun. In and around the forest we regularly have deer, various birds, and squirrels visiting. The cottage is located in the forest on the border of the province of Drenthe with Overijssel near the border river the Reest, an ancient stream valley. The house was very cozy. We loved that the kitchen and living room were together, making it a great spot to hang out. With 7 people in the house, it's definitely full as the bedrooms are small and only 1 bathroom, but definitely doable for a little getaway. We enjoyed being so close to the forest! The vibe was very relaxed in the neighborhood, too. The one thing I'd note is that there is only a microwave oven and not a full oven, so don't plan to make any big oven dishes (like we had haha). But the gas stovetop was huge and great! The owners are also very kinda and communicative. Would definitely reccommed!
