The nature house is a beautiful white villa with a large park-like garden and can be booked as a vacation home for groups of up to 8pers. Four luxury 2pers rooms with private bathroom, a spacious living room, garden room & kitchen. The spacious layout of the house and our surrounding nature makes this nature house (you) a perfect place for quality time with family or friends. The house is not suitable for young children and parties. In addition, we are also B&B, event, wedding and meeting location and this place is also our home. In consultation, we lovingly provide a regal breakfast, lunch, High Tea, dressed drinks and dinner to a three-course dinner. The monumental building was built in 1859 as a residence for the head director of the prisons in Veenhuizen. Renée December 29, 2025 General rating:Because hernia goes a historic building, the insulation is not optimal. All rooms can be heated quickly and well but in winter it is not cheap. We paid 205 euros extra in this midweek.
Omdat hernia een historisch pand gaat, is de isolatie niet optimaal. Alle kamers zijn snel en goed te verwarmen maar in de winter is dat niet goedkoop. We betaalden 205 euro bij in deze midweek.
Nature, peace & environment:We stayed with 8 adults for a midweek in this iconic house in museum village Veenhuizen (in it fell O&N). The stylish and luxurious bedrooms are extremely comfortable, in the beautiful living and garden room you feel the history. The kitchen is fully equipped. The hostess and host are very warm and want to please you as much as possible. The house is a picture, you walk straight into the Fochteloër Veen and in and around the village you experience the stories of the Colonies of Prosperity and Veenhuizen as a justice village. We really enjoyed it!

De stijlvolle en luxe slaapkamers zijn bijzonder comfortabel, in de prachtige woon- en tuinkamer voel je de historie. De keuken is van alle gemakken voorzien. De gastvrouw en -heer zijn heel hartelijk en willen het je zoveel mogelijk naar de zin maken. Het huis is een plaatje, je loopt zo het Fochteloër Veen in en in en rond het dorp beleef je de verhalen van de Koloniën van Welvaart en Veenhuizen als justitiedorp. We hebben ontzéttend genoten!
