Nature house in Olst

It’s in a beautiful and laid-back eco-friendly neighborhood called De Aardehuizen (it seems like a great place to live). There’s also a beautiful nature reserve and hiking trails nearby, for example starting from the IJssel den Nul information center, where you can also enjoy a nice meal. A weekend was way too short, actually—I would have loved to paint a lot more, read books, go for walks...etc., but I certainly enjoyed it very much!

Het is in een prachtige en relaxte ecologische wijk de Aardehuizen (lijkt me geweldig om te wonen). Er is ook een mooi natuurgebied en wandelroutes dichtbij, bv vanaf het infocentrum Ijssel den nul waar je ook lekker kunt eten. Een weekend vond ik veel te kort eigenlijk, ik had graag nog veel meer willen schilderen, boeken lezen, wandelen...enz, maar ik heb er zeker heel erg van genoten!

We had a wonderful stay at the beautifully decorated, cozy, and creative Mijmertijd studio. It has everything you need for an inspiring and enjoyable stay. Miriam and Rogier are also very kind and flexible people who are happy to work with you, even if things don’t go exactly as planned.

Heerlijk verblijf gehad in de prachtig ingerichte, gezellige en creatieve studio Mijmertijd. Alles is aanwezig wat je nodig hebt voor een inspirerend en prettig verblijf. Miriam en Rogier zijn ook erg lieve en flexibele mensen die graag meedenken, ook als het even anders loopt dan afgesproken.

The cottage/studio is attached to the owners’ home, but thanks to the lush garden filled with plants and fig bushes (which you’re welcome to pick from yourself), it still really feels like a private retreat with plenty of privacy.
Miriam and Rogier are incredibly warm and hospitable people, and you can tell that everything is done with care and love. This includes the delicious and extensive breakfast that I booked for one morning.
The kitchen is fully equipped, and the rest of the cottage is also more than well-appointed.
In short, I’d love to come back to “Mijmertijd” again, because it’s a wonderful place if you want to unwind for a few days!

Het huisje/studio zit aan het huis van de eigenaren vast, maar door de groene tuin met veel planten en vijgenstruiken (waar je zelf van mag plukken) voelt het nog steeds echt als een plekje voor jezelf met genoeg privacy.
Miriam en Rogier zijn ontzettend warme en gastvrije mensen en je voelt dat alles met zorg en liefde gedaan is. Zo ook het heerlijke en uitgebreide ontbijt dat ik er voor één ochtend bijgeboekt had.
In de keuken is aan alles gedacht en ook de rest van het huisje is meer dan compleet.
Kortom, ik kom graag nog eens terug in ‘Mijmertijd’, want het is een hele fijne plek als je een paar dagen tot rust wilt komen!

A great base if you want to go biking and hiking in the area, but still want the train station and amenities within walking distance. The neighborhood is an experience in itself. It’s remarkable and inspiring how the residents themselves have created this green and sustainable neighborhood!

Erg goede uitvalsbasis als je wilt fietsen en wandelen in de omgeving, maar wel het station en voorzieningen op loopafstand wilt hebben. De woonwijk is een ervaring op zich. Bijzonder en inspirerend hoe de bewoners zelf deze groene en duurzame wijk hebben opgezet!

The cottage has everything you need. It’s also decorated in a charming and practical way. I was able to completely unwind, thanks in part to all the greenery in the garden, which you can enjoy a beautiful view of from the cottage. The hostess is also incredibly kind and goes out of her way to make sure you have a great time.

In het huisje is alles aanwezig wat je nodig hebt. Het is ook leuk en praktisch ingericht. Ik kwam helemaal tot rust ook door al het groen in de tuin waar je vanuit het huisje heel mooi op uitkijkt. Super aardige gastvrouw ook die het je naar je zin wil maken.

The studio is located in a beautiful, quiet, eco-friendly residential neighborhood with earth houses. You’re surrounded by greenery, so you can relax and, for example, read a book.

The surrounding area is great for biking and hiking. I really liked the Duursche Waarden nature reserve and also visited Klooster Sion, where they brew their own beer. Don’t forget to stop by the bakery in the windmill in Olst.

Deventer is also a charming Hanseatic city. I’m already familiar with it, but it’s definitely worth a visit, especially for people who aren’t from the area.

De studio ligt in een mooe rustige ecologische woonwijk met aardehuizen. Je bent omringd door groen zodat je ook even lekker kunt ontspannen en bv. een boekje lezen.

In de omgeving kun je lekker fietsen en wandelen. Ik vond de Duursche Waarden erg mooi en ook bezoek gebracht aan Klooster Sion. Daar broiwen ze ook hun eigen bier. Vergeet niet de bakkerij in de molen te bezoeken in Olst.

Verder is Deventer een leuke Hanzestad. Ik ben hier al bekend maar zeker voor mensen die niet uit de omgeving komen leuk om te bezoeken.
