The houseboat with roof terrace is located in the cozy harbor of the historic fishing town of Monnickendam. There are 2 bedrooms with 4 single beds which can be pushed together if necessary. There is a bathroom with a normal toilet, a sink and a shower. In the houseboat is a spacious kitchen with basic inventory such as a kettle, Nespresso machine, milk frother, toaster and hob. In the cozy living room with large windows there is a sofa and a dining table with TV (with the wifi you can stream). There is a front terrace with garden furniture where you can enjoy the sunshine. Enjoy all the comfort that this houseboat offers and unwind from the water. We invite you to enjoy aboard this beautiful houseboat and make beautiful unforgettable memories. The houseboat is not to sail itself but is located in the harbor.
Nature and surroundings
You are in the picturesque harbor of Monnickendam. In the harbor is a beach bar with beautiful views of the lake. Here you can rent sups, canoes, sailing and motor boats to sail e.g. to the adjacent nature reserve, Marken with its famous lighthouse or the fishing village Volendam. Thousands of years ago people turned marshland into pasture land with the natural Waterland East full of waving reeds, ditches and picturesque villages as an end result. A paradise for (water) birds, you can make beautiful bike rides or a canoe trip, swimming, fishing, water sports, boating and hiking to the nature reserves in the area. The center of Monnickendam with cozy terraces and good restaurants is a 5-minute walk from the harbor. Amsterdam is easy to reach and here you can also sail to and there are a number of interesting museums nearby. Your unique vacation experience can begin! In Monnickendam there is also a beautiful nature reserve where you can take lovely walks.
