In the middle of National Park Van Gogh at the edge of the Chaamse woods lies this spacious and very cozy vacation house suitable for 4 persons (children from 14 years welcome). The potted barn has been transformed into a delightful vacation home and stands in the yard of the monumental former forester's house of the Barony of Breda, where the landlords themselves live. In addition to a spacious living room with an open kitchen, there is a separate dining room that also serves as a library. There are also two large bedrooms and a modern bathroom with walk-in shower. Outside there is a terrace with fire pit to enjoy being outside for a long time on warm summer evenings. Mini pigs, cats and chickens walk on part of the property. The view of the fields is breathtaking and when you leave the gate you walk or bike directly into the woods. Non-contact stay possible; however, the house is located in a yard. The vacation home and yard are suitable for children 14 years and older.
Nature and surroundings
The nature house is located in the outskirts of the village of Chaam, which is part of the municipality of Alphen-Chaam. The municipality has the hallmark Cittaslow and is known for its vast forests, fields and meadows with beautiful farms. The vacation home itself is located on the edge of the Chaam woods and with one step outside the door you are already in the forest. In the immediate vicinity there are endless hiking and cycling routes, including the bicycle avenue that winds through one of the largest contiguous forest areas of Brabant. Along the way you will encounter all sorts of interesting locations, such as the estates Valkenberg and Hondsdonk. A visit to organic vineyard Dassemus is also a must, as is a rest on the farm terrace at Toontje Schoen with various regional products on the menu. With a strippenkaart you can harvest your own fruit and vegetables at the Fruit Orchard. Within cycling distance you will find the enclave village of Baarle Nassau / Baarle Hertog and Breda with its historic center.
