Nature house in Grashoek

The cottage was fine. A comfortable bed, nice chairs—nothing to complain about. However, the breakfast was very poor. Rock-hard rolls, cold eggs, orange juice from a carton—the pesto and herb butter weren’t really suitable for breakfast. No fruit or even a bit of yogurt, just very thick slices of ham. Actually, the basket contained the same items as the appetizer platter from the day before. It was a real letdown, and at €30, it was way too expensive.

Het huisje was prima. Goed bed, lekkere stoelen, niks op aan te merken. Echter was het ontbijt erg slecht. Keiharde broodjes, koude eieren, jus d’orange uit pak, pesto en kruidenboter was niet echt geschikt als ontbijt. Geen fruit of beetje yoghurt, hele dikke plakken ham. Eigenlijk lag er hetzelfde in de mand als op de borrelplank van de dag ervoor. Was echt een afknapper en dan voor €30,- erg veel geld.

The space was nice, but since the cottage was right next to the golf course, it wasn't as peaceful in the morning as we'd hoped. It was pretty busy—there were a lot of people walking around, and they started early. That was a shame.

De ruimte was lekker, alleen omdat het huisje direct aan de golfbaan lag, was dit in de ochtend minder rustgevend dan gehoopt. Het was best druk, er liepen veel mensen en zij begonnen vroeg. Dat was wel jammer.

Friendly staff who are happy to talk to you. Something to consider is: there is no stove and the golf course restaurant is open until 6 pm. But a fine restaurant is a 5 min walk away in Grashoek itself.

Vriendelijk personeel, dat je graag te woord staat. Iets waar je rekening mee moet houden is: er is geen fornuis en het restaurant van het golfveld is open tot 18.00 uur. Maar een prima restaurant is op 5 min. loopafstand in Grashoek zelf.

There are 2 Pods in a field in front of the golf course. People could see, though, that there are people using them. But it didn't bother me much. I experienced a lot of peace and quiet and slept well because the golf field was closed after 6 p.m. It was very quiet. The cottage was otherwise small and cozy. However, tall people would not do well with this.

Er staan 2 Pods op een veldje voor het golfveld. Mensen konden wel zien, dat er mensen zijn die daar gebruik van maken. Maar ik had er niet veel last van. Ik heb veel rust ervaren en goed geslapen, want het golfveld was na 18.00 uur gesloten. Het huisje was verder klein en knus. Maar lange mensen zouden hier niet goed mee uit de voeten kunnen.

The cottage was adjacent to a golf course, but with enough distance, making it very quiet. Lovely walks in the area through the woods, small trails and along meadows.

Het huisje lag aan een golfbaan, maar met voldoende afstand, waardoor het heel rustig was. Heerlijk gewandeld in de omgeving door de bossen, kleine paden en langs weilanden.
