The house is sheltered on the edge of a friendly group of vacation homes in Wittelte, about a 30-minute drive from Zwolle. There is no barrier and nothing in common. From the cottage you are within minutes on the Holtingerveld and walk along the Brandeveen (water, see photo), in 20 minutes at the Blue Lake (for swimming, see photo). 10-15 minutes drive you are in one of the national parks of Midden-Drenthe: the Dwingelderveld and the Drents-Friese Wold, one of the largest nature reserves in the Netherlands. You can enjoy hiking, horseback riding, mtb'ing, biking, spotting flocks of sheep and finding megalithic tombs in all the parks, but chances are you'll also like to stay at the cottage, and relax in the garden. It is a favorite spot for birds, butterflies and squirrels. You can park your car in the private driveway with space for three cars.
