Malhadil, nestled in the heart of Portugal, was once an abandoned village until our vision breathed new life into the abandoned ruins. Transformed into a vibrant boutique resort, it now serves as a haven of growth, creation and love: a healing home for those with open hearts. We invite dreamers, travelers, doers, thinkers, creators, believers and free spirits to join us in shaping the next chapter of our shared journey. Inspired by our beloved former cafe and city beach Roest. Infused with the spirit of the city, this apartment features distinctive yellow tones and rustic details reminiscent of the bar's old elements. Important: Designed as an off-grid sustainable project, we do not offer air conditioning or television. We encourage our guests to reconnect with nature and appreciate the changes each season brings.
Nature and surroundings
In 2021, we acquired the abandoned village of Malhadil, just 20 minutes west of Castelo Branco. With its abundant natural beauty and hidden gems waiting to be discovered, it serves as the perfect backdrop for our vision. When we moved from Amsterdam to Portugal in 2022, we embarked on the journey to realize our dream: to develop our village, regenerate our 14 acres of land and create a thriving new meeting place and le The nature house is located in the village of Malhadil. Surrounded by unspoiled nature, this location offers an oasis of peace and quiet, perfect for nature lovers. Escape the hustle and bustle and explore the breathtaking landscapes with wide views, rolling hills, and olive groves. Hikers will enjoy the numerous trails that lead to hidden streams and quiet picnic spots. In the evening you can enjoy clear starry skies.
