A restored stone and wood Tiny house with a double bed on the mezzanine and a small bed in the living room. Large outdoor terrace with a table and bench, overlooking the forest. Just a 5-minute walk away, you’ll find the river with a private beach for swimming, and a 20-minute walk along a Roman trail will take you to the beautiful beach in the town of Avô. You can also use the forest deck for yoga or meditation. In another part of the forest, we have two RV spots with electricity, a tent, an outdoor kitchen, and a bathroom with hot water. If you’re interested, you can gain access to this area or even rent it out to friends.
Nature and surroundings
This house, surrounded by nature, is located in Terra Viva, a property set in a peaceful forest of chestnut and oak trees with direct access to the Alva River. There are no nearby neighbors—just nature and tranquility. The stone house stays cool in the summer and doesn’t require air conditioning; it has spring water and solar panels. You can use the washing machine, which is located in an annex to the house. Access is via a 2-km dirt road; a 4x4 vehicle is recommended. It’s also possible to arrive in a regular car and park at the monastery (a 7-minute walk away) or walk about 20 minutes to the nearest towns: Ponte das Três Entradas or Avô. The Serra da Estrela region offers beautiful river beaches and various points of interest to visit during your stay.

The house has a good spirit. It's a welcoming environment that invites you to feel at home, and to be yourself. It feels different from most rentals. This house is a lot warmer and cozy.
The atmosphere in the house is positive.
Michael the cat is an amazing friend too. He loves going on morning walks.
I had an amazing experience there that I know most rentals could not replicate.
I highly recommend.The surrounding area is peaceful and beautiful. Lots of hikes and long walks can be done, as well as visiting the little towns around that are accessible on foot. The minimercado of Ponte Das Tres Entradas has all the basic necessities for a stay, and the couple working there are very kind and helpful.

I loved it!
The nature stone house was a unique and wonderful experience for me. It was my first time staying in an off grid style home and I loved it. I developed new skills of lighting fires, replacing gas and learning to live on my own in a location that is surrounded peacefully with nature. I was a woman travelling alone and I felt safe. I loved the hill that it is on that overlooks the valley and taking evening walks to watch the incredible sunset down the valley and the village of Avo. It was a truly magical and memorable experience. Harmony was the perfect host who responded to all my questions immediately. She was so open and friendly. The house is an incredible result of her hard work and it is an incredible experience to be a guest in it. Thank you Harmony :) And then there is the wonderful white cat Michael, the best companion to have!
